This one requires a small amount of opinion. On "Idlewild South," when Berry Oakley sings "Hootchie Cootchie Man," what famous blues rocker does he sound like (so much so I SWORE it WAS him at first)?

I have to agree also, sounds just like Johnny

OK I'm gonna have a go; I been lurking and most of the questions were too hard. This will be too easy, most likely...

What guitarist of some renown [and influential style] played bass on the Doors album LA Woman, and supposedly had to be talked out of kicking Jim Morrison's ass during the sessions?

Was it Mike Bloomfield

All I can figure from the album cover is that Jerry Scheff added bass. I see he has quite a resume', but I'm not sure it is as a guitar player.

??????????????

I guess I stumped ya'll! Question was~

What guitarist of some renown [and influential style] played bass on the Doors album LA Woman, and supposedly had to be talked out of kicking Jim Morrison's ass during the sessions?

Answer is: Lonnie Mack. Stevie Ray Vaughan cited him as one of his big influences, and Stevie coaxed Lonnie out of musical retirement for a time in the 80s. SRV and Lonnie did an album together, it kicks butt.

Kev, your turn ;)
