 Re: MUSIC TRIVIA
The first -- and greatest -- Jefferson Starship album was "Blows Against the Empire."
Who is the primary guitar player on the album?
Interesting secondary issue: what is the complete quote from which "blows against the empire" is excerpted?

 Re: MUSIC TRIVIA
Okay, I'm looking at the liner notes on the vinyl disc. It says something about "godtunes". Am I on the right track?

 Re: MUSIC TRIVIA
There was a booklet that came with the original LP (which I no longer have, three divorces later). At the top on the front, assuming I remember correctly, it said:
IT'S A FRESH WIND THAT BLOWS AGAINST THE EMPIRE.
I have that below my signature on my school e-mail. A school board member even remarked about it.
On the list of phenomenally disappointing things was my discovery when purchasing the CD that NONE of this information was included. Great music, hideous packaging.
You're up! And Jerry's playing is, as you said, really beautiful!

 Re: MUSIC TRIVIA
True story.
****If you google/internet search and post the findings, Im not really sure we can call it trivia anymore. So for those that 'cheat', please refrain from actually posting your internet search results. This is an old school music question with its roots dating back to the 60s(even 50s)****
My high school friend went on to play drums in his fathers' famous band. They had a huge #1 hit song(Peppermint Twist- which was later stolen and made quite famous by somebody named Chubby Something?) ha
There were 2 incredibly famous previous members of this band that happened to play the exact instruments as my buddy.
- One of them is currently in the rock n roll hall of fame and widely regarded as one of the best guitar players of ALL TIME. - The other gave up music to later win multiple academy awards for his multi- blockbuster movies he acted in. Arguably one of the best actors at what he played ever.
Good luck.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcmsoo4SGVoJoey D and the Starliters gave JIMMY HENDRIX his first break! The other person was Joe Pesci. This interview is full of incredible music history. This is going to be very difficult for some to grasp but my buddys' band had THE BEATLES!!!!!!! I repeat- the BEATLES open for them Peppermint Twist Lounge

 Re: MUSIC TRIVIA
In 1964, Mick Jagger was greatly affected by a performance by a famous singer. It happened again in 1968 with another famous singer. As a result, Jagger's on-stage antics and dancing style both changed dramatically.
Who were these two amazing singers? One has passed away; the other is still strutting it!
