I believe this refers to the process used for removing moisture from the surface of the Liberty Bell when it was originally forged. Unfortanately, the process proved inferior, and lead to the famous "crack" in the bell. That song is one of my favs.
Correct by the way. I hadnt heard the libety bel part. I was told when creating a bell, you must roll moisture out of the metal to achieve quality sound. process reffered to as "roll away the dew"
