James Marshall Hendrix!!!

Mick Jagger's first truly animated stage performance was on the T.A.M.I. show from 1964. The reason was that the Stones had to follow an incredible performance by what legendary singer and his band?

I only remember the stones, supremes, and James brown performing but it was back in VHS days! That being said I will go with James brown

James Brown and His Famous Flames indeed! His performance was positively riveting!

You can check it out on YouTube. Currently, my beloved school system is blocking YouTube. Must be an even-numbered day or something.

Hey, maestro63 -- well done! You are up!

And speaking of dancing, one of the greatest dancing movies of all time is "Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus)," an incredible 1959 movie with a Carnaval story in Rio parallelling the myth of Orpheus and Euridyce. This YouTube version has no sound, owing to contractual problems. I encourage you to rent the movie, however.

Check out the dancing starting at 34:11 and at 1:06:30.

I will think on it for a few, and beback. In the meantime, if anyone else has a good trivia question feel free to post it.

Oooh, I'm pretty sure I actually know this one - Wilson Pickett? Think Duane's first notoriety came from playing on WPs version of Hey Jude, right?
