Re: Wanee "MOMENTS" My first Wanee was 08 the "Wanee Family Jam" year. I thought all the intermingling between bands was great. BUT.. my moment was in 09 the second I heard Gregg's voice! I said "this is what was missing last year!" Looking forward to my third time in the land of peaches &mushrooms! CANTWAITTOWANEE!!!

Re: Wanee "MOMENTS" I echo the call outs for Mule - Cortez & WSP / Luther - Slippin. Two of my favorite Wanee moments.
My "moment" came at my first Wanee in 2006. That year Derek's band played the midnight jam on Friday night as he left afterwards to head to England and begin rehearsals with Clapton. (Jack Pearson filled in for Derek with the ABB on Saturday night). As a result, there was no late night act on Saturday night. So we were left to wander the camp sites for music. We stumble upon the jam Big Dave on Bass was hosting. There was some quality fan talent playing when Devon Allman and band walked up. Within minutes, Honeytribe was playing a campsite jam. The fact that the music did not stop even after the stages went dark, let me know Wanee was special.
Another great moment was in 2007, early set on the Mushroom, Rose Hill Drive blew everyones mind with a hellacious cover of Sabbath's Faries Wear Boots. It came out of left field, especially that early in the morning.
