It's as if the youngsters in the band have re-energized Phil and Bob. Russo & Chimenti are monsters. Phil has such an awesome mind-meld with Russo and it just drives the whole f'n train in some pretty impressive directions. And JK is more than "fake Jerry" - he's got his own take on the canon and his style brings Jerry's spirit without copying Jerry's licks. And that's what I love most about the band - the spirit really is alive. I thought we'd lost it after Jerry left this dimension. But Furthur has brought it back and it makes shows even more awesome. I totally agree and couldn't have said it better my self!!! the spirit is definitely here and i think it will stay!! I took my best friend to the first further show we had ever been to! And we had such an amazing time that we are gonna do a mini tour this summer starting at wanee!!! so absolutely excited!!

Re: Abb/Furthur song request Listening to GD Radio online and just as I'm reading this thread - Scarlet Begonias comes on from 3.20.77. Weeeee! I also listened to a Scarlet>Fire on the way into work. It's so close I can almost feel it! Just imagining being there seein everybody dancin' to Furthur. Ahhhhhhh

I'm happy with anything really, but there are certain songs that would be a "personal best ever" if I could hear them at the Magical SOSMP. -Dark Star -The Eleven>St.Stephen -Eyes of the World Would love for the Esau bustout to happen at SOS! It'll probably happen in NYC. We get two nights of ABB/Dead at the best possible place to experience this music. The setlists are inconsequential
