4 day Wanee would be sweet!
But back in April.... June is a bit too warm for me, although I live in Louisiana, so the weather is the same over here too!

So I broke down and joined myspace the other day to get in contact with someone and it has been an interesting adventure jumping around from site to site. I happened upon 3rd Stone this morning out of Gainesville, Fl. and listened to their streams on and see they are lined up for Bear Creek and are playing Skipper's Smokehouse in Tampa on July 4th. If you are looking for some entertainment on the 4th then they may be worth checking out. I haven't heard them live but will be looking for them in our area. 13 year old Anthony Kavouklis on the guitar sounds damn good.

From the about us page:
3rd Stone's original tunes soulfully blend rock, blues, funk, and a splash of reggae to create a sound appeal that transcends all bounderies of age, gender and style.

Definitely going to BearCreek. Same "festival family" feel as Wanee and GREAT music. Last year it was superjam after superjam. And, it seemed like, Derek Trucks sat in with everyone on Saturday last year.

You can check out some of last year's shows on

Oh - ok - never mind.

Still - a 4 day wanee - imagine that!!!!

I know quite a few that would go for that!!! They do need to do that so that might be able to see the bands you want!!! But after this yr with record crowds?? I know I can get a job helping them become a GREEN community

Live for today as tomorrow may be very far away! Make your DREAMS come true!!!!

I totally agree...would love wanee to be a bit longer, at LEAST 3 DAYS. much better for the drive from KC!! I think we were in the car longer than the festival was ...but WORTH IT!

not sure if I can swing Bear Creek, but if I can I will be there.
