 ABB to close (as usual)
I am tickled that ABB will be closing the Peach stage each night. For those that dont really know.....this is the ABBs' baby. Its no simple twist of fate that they headline every year. I wanted to break it to the Furthur people earlier, but I figured they would find out soon enough. Cant wait to see ABB, Furthur, and everyone else.

Re: ABB to close (as usual)
As an ABB fan first and foremost, this is the way it should be. I thought there could have been a chance Furthur would have closed Friday, but doubted it. This the Allman's festival, that should never be forgotten or understated.
There is a lot I like about Wanee has become with the added days (it was just two for the first few years) & bigger bands like Furthur or Panic. But if I could put my wish list together now for 2013, it would be to go a little old school as it were, focusing primarily on "the family". Give us:
Two nights of the ABB Two nights of Mule Separate Tedeschi Trucks Band, Derek Trucks Band, & Susan Tedeschi sets Solo, Acoustic Warren Haynes Oteil & the Peacemakers (or Lee Boys) Jaimoe's Jasssz Band Scrapomatic Devon Allman's Honeytribe Royal Southern Brotherhood (Devon's new band with Cyril Neville, Mike Zito, & Yonrico Scott) Jack Pearson Col. Bruce Bonobos Convergence / Yeti Trio Chuck Leavell Tommy Talton Flannel Church (& in my dreams, Dickey Betts & Great Southern) etc.
It would not be as "big" a festival, which might keep the crowds done, but to a ABB purist would be fun.
That all being said, as long as Wanee simply has the ABB at the core, it is all good.

The PGator and the Rivernole think alike....When the Gates and the Semis agree...something must be wrong. You are right on point...make this a true Allman Reunion.... The Allman Family Revival.
