Re: Wanee 2013 Possibilities/rumors/hopes... To Keeb it could very well be a better show. I think he is more of a WSP guy as opposed to a Deadhead. I would rather hear DSO than the Allman Bros so what in the f!*k do I know.
That said, if YES were to play Wanee that would be the end all for me.

There are a couple "key" and "irreplaceable" members no longer with that band either. And isn't Widespread Panic just covering Widespead Panic? And I respect varying tastes in music, and if you just flat out didnt like the Dead that would make sense to me. Its just curious that you seem to really enjoy DSO and not Furthur. Also, for what its worth, I thought Furthur killed it at Wanee. Pure improvisational jam bliss. And Ive gone back and listened to recordings of both shows multiple times since Wanee and its only strengthen that first impression. Just a thought, but presumably you saw DSO is a smaller, more intimate venue, also their light show was probably in full effect. Maybe that accounts for some of the "greater energy". It makes a big difference playing to a 30k person crowd in the middle of the day.
