WIDESPREAD PANIC returns to Charlotte for their 2nd annual New Year’s Eve blow out bash at Time Warner Cable Arena on December 31, 2012. Tickets go on sale Friday September 14 at 10am at LiveNation.com, the Time Warner Cable Arena box office, Ticketmaster or charge by phone 800-745-3000. This is a food drive event.

In addition to the New Year’s Eve concert, Widespread Panic will bring their 2012 Tunes for Tots benefit concert to The Fillmore Charlotte on December 30th. Tickets fo
r Tunes for Tots go on sale Friday September 14 at 10am online only at LiveNation.com. There is a 2 ticket limit per person.

A very limited number of pre-show VIP tickets will be available. VIP tickets include admission to a pre-show cocktail party with the Band with cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet, early entry to the venue, exclusive access during the concert to the VIP area complete with private bar & restrooms, and a 2012 Tunes for Tots poster autographed by the band. Admission to the VIP Cocktail party starts at 5pm.

General admission tickets are $150 plus service fees. General admission doors are at 7pm.

PLEASE NOTE – Tunes for Tots is a ticketless entry event. You must bring your photo id and the credit card used to purchase the ticket for entry. Tickets are non-transferable and require the purchaser to swipe their credit card at the Fillmore Charlotte doors to gain entry. A souvenir commemorative ticket will be available after the concert.

All of the downtown Charlotte hotels are usually pretty expensive. If you're gonna stay downtown I definitely recommend the Epicenter Aloft. $179 a night is as cheap as you're gonna get and it's only a couple blocks from the front door of the venue. Plus the Epicenter is the cool area that is basically bar central.

Just booked a room at Hilton Charlotte Center City. Was going to book at Epicenter, but they wouldn't let ya cancel for free, Hilton does give free cancellation option. You know, just in case we can't get tickets.
