The St. Pete Oktoberfest takes place this Friday and Saturday in downtown St. Pete. The main event, music-wise, is Saturday (5 to 10 PM). They have not published the official schedule yet, but it should look like this:

5:00 - 6:15 Serotonic -- very funky jazz and very jazzy funk!
6:45 - 8:00 Bobby Lee Rodgers with Matt Lapham and Tom Damon -- tearing it UP!
8:30 - 10:00 Damon Fowler -- blues man extraordinaire

Apparently, there is also BEER! WOO HOO!

Does anyone know if the ticket price include ALL drinks?

I think not. It looks like it allows "tastings." I think I could make a go on that alone, but I suspect you can purchase as well. There is some sort of VIP deal for $100, but that hardly seems worth it.

If you do go, get there in time to see Serotonic (5 to 6:15). They are great!

Thanks for the link! They sound pretty good. I think I'm going to miss this festival. Going to check out the Clearwater Jazz Festival which is also this weekend.

And the best weather of the fall -- to date!

What a weird event this was! The music was awesome, so that was all good. For a $25 wristband, you could "sample" beers from more than a dozen small breweries. The problem was that the place got jammed, the lines got long, and the beer pours got short. So short you really couldn't sample the sample! There were two trucks where you could buy $4 beers, but those lines were just as bad. I ventured into two bars, but they were jammed. Beerless, I headed back down to the music stage, only to discover that the very warm and friendly VFW hall had no lines and was selling very inexpensive drafts! Lesson learned!
