 hotel suggestions
Hans and I are SOOOO Old that we feel that we will need a hotel this year. Please let us know if you have stayed at one during Wanee and what your experience was. Facts as well; costs, cops etc.
Peace, love and HUGS!

Have you considered renting an RV?

 Re: hotel suggestions
If there were any nice hotels in Live Oak, we would never miss another festival. We stayed at a few of them and they are all bad. The best one would be the Holiday Inn which is near the Walmart. To get a room you have to book before the dates are announced. There is no cancellation penalty so you can book several weekends.
The Comfort Suites in Lake City is a much nicer hotel. It is newer, cleaner, and much more comfortable. Unfortunately it is like a 20 minute drive from the park.
As far as cops, we have never had a problem but it is a nail biter driving back to the hotel in the middle of the night. The cops have been known to set up roadblocks on the exit ramps from the highway. Staying in Live Oak is much preferred because you don't have to use the highway.

 Re: hotel suggestions
My wife and I must not be fussy enough, but we have never had a problem staying at the other two hotels right at the exit off I-10 -- the Econolodge and the Best Western. The staff have always been friendly, and booking has been easy.
