 Re: JamesLN Wanee Direction
Hello my dearest James. It has been a while but I wanted to say hi and offer my suggestions for this years' lineup. Would love to see RRE brought back for this year. The bluegrass is always such a great addition. Additionally Buddy Guy is such a rock staple that he should always be included in the lineup and adds so much to the fun environment. The Col. laid down an unbelievable set at Magfest and was one of my favorite bands to play all weekend and is again such a staple at SOSMP. He owns the Mushroom stage!!!
Speaking of favorite bands...I was introduced to Cope and Tornado Rider at Magfest. Both bring a certain amount of levity and fun. They need to be given time at the Mushroom stage and not just shuffled off to the Barn or Porch stage. They (and bands like them) are very talented and the future of jambands. They need additional exposure to grow and bring in new audiences and to gain appreciation from the experienced SOSMP patron. We hope that you take our recommendations and really apply them to the festival experience. All that have posted here are true SOSMP family and love and appreciate what has been created at the park and want to see it grow in the right direction while having the most amazing time possible. Thanks again for being so involved and allowing us to have the ability to communicate and share our opinions.
Peace- Cmamma.

Love all the ideas, but in the end, I'll be there for whatever mix arrives.

 Re: JamesLN Wanee Direction
The issues with the Col. may be the fact that he plays Mag Fest now. There is a supposed unwritten rule that Wanee does not book Mag / Spring fest acts. Great example is Donna The Buffalo, which would be a great Wanee addition, but is a Mag / Spring regular, so no Wanee (although Tara did play with BK3 in 2009).
The Lee Boys are the only exception to this rule I can think of, but they had a loophole. The played Spring fest as the Lee Boys and then played Wanee as Oteil's back up band. So if this rule is true and the loophole holds, the Col. could come back as part of say The Aquarium Rescue Unit.

It's the roots of all we listen to. We need to pay our respect! Some of the acts from the "Blues Cruises" would be great.
