I've been watching that show Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet and Im wonding if any you guys have any stories to tell.

I went on a bigfoot hunt in the mid 90's. Me and two other guys hopped on a plane and flew from Atlanta to Oregon. We rented a car and drove down to the Siskiyou National Forrest on the border of California and Oregon to begin our search. We didn't see a Bigfoot but that is the strangest place I have ever been in my life, down right scary. It is so quite there you can hear a pin drop, no animal noises, no insects noises, nothing. You get the feeling that you are beeing watched. We brought a tape recorder of Bigfoot screams to play which I don't think I'll do again. After spending a few nights there we went to another hotspot, Crater Lake Oregon. Stunningly beautiful place but, again, no Bigfoot. We tried.

Good story pete. Doing a squatch hunt is on the end of my bucket list. I'm arranging a hunt for this summer. I'm moving to raleigh in january and the uwarrie national forest isn't too far. I've heard they have had sightings there often. Anybody want in, let me know.

Our goal when we planned the trip was to go to Bluff Creek, Ca where the Patterson film was taken. We never made it that far down but where happy with Siskiyou because of the oodles of sightings there. Truly a bizarre place, not only because of the silence but the density of vegetation. There are so many dead- falls that it would take a person hours just to travel a mile.
