Wakarusa is dropping their 3rd of 3 artist announcements next Thursday.

I don't see any festival dropping their announcements before Thursday.

If you drop before Thursday people (that aren't committed to Wanee) will stop talking about Wanee as soon as Waka drops theirs. So you only have a 2 or 3 day window of only Wanee line-up love.

If you drop, say next Friday, everyone pays attention until the next fest releases their lineup.

The fact that everyone is waiting for thursday for Waka, I don't think Wanee will drop before then.

More than anything else...it is probably a matter of signed contracts and solid commitments. I don't think Waka has much to do with Wanee line-up announcement...I think it is more who can show up and when they have open dates that they solidly confirm to. Just my opinion...which doesn't amount to much.

I agree....I am sure they are trying to nail down all the contracts and they announce....I don't think it would have nything to do with Waka either.

We are 3 months out.

The ABB, Mule/Haynes, TTB are set in stone. Panic is almost a given at this point.

I would think most of the "smaller" bands are signed.

That accounts for 2/3 of the line up. Which is enough to release then you have probably 10 or so add-ons.

I just think Live Nation is just waiting for the perfect time to release the lineup to allow max impact for eyes/wallets.

I am just spit ballin here- there could be bigger band that is playing that is also at multiple festivals. The festivals/producers could have some kind of agreement ($$) with some particular order of announcement.
