In fact .....I think there is a campsite called Dirty Feet Camp.

The whole population can have dirty feet and thats fine. I just can’t stand for my own feet to be dirty.

The day after the Beatles were on....everyone ran out and bought a guitar....every little town at least one "Beatles" band...and most had more than one.

You had to have Beatle boots and later a Nehru jacket or shirt.
Indian style attire became the rage with plain white shirts with embroidery along the front and around the collar.

Remember when:
We went from crew cuts or ducktails (Elvis or James Dean) to long hair in a matter of months (took months to grow our hair out).
You went from having a comb in your pocket...to no comb.
You were constantly in the principal's office being forced to get a haircut if you wanted to stay in school.
Your mom would say "Get a haircut before you come home".

Fifty years later my wife says "Get a haircut before you come home". And I say "Which hair you want cut....the one on the left or the one on the right?"

Did you watch the special on TV last night? I can remember my Mom & Dad sitting on the couch and my Brother and I on the floor as close to the TV as possible watching that show in 1964. And the day they flew into Miami, I begged my grandmother to take me to the airport.

My Dad and Grandad were Barbers. My Dad eventually changed careers in 1969, for that reason.

I remember watching it...watching them fly in to screaming girls...and Ed Sullivan....not really knowing what he was doing...
The Beatles first broadcast is kinda like Woodstock....every body claims to have watched it or been there whether they did or not.

I will say the Beatles changed my life....not sure if that is a good or bad thing.....but it did open my eyes to a whole new world and a whole new way of thinking.
All we are saying is give Peace a chance....

Luckily I got a high draft number...and never had to go to Vietnam...
"one, two, three, four
what are we fighting for
don't ask me
I don't give a damn
next stop is Vietnam" Country Joe and the Fish

And you could barely hear 'em what with the girls screaming and fainting and wailing away!
