IMO Furthur fell a little flat on friday. Phil was struggling and I think the heat was getting to them. What a difference a day makes. Saturday was probably the best I have ever seen them though. They were AMAZING.

I will say that the middle section Friday (your disk 2):
Eyes > Caution > 11 > Marbles
was about as good as it gets for me.

Yeah... They really tried with Eye's... don't get me wrong. There were moments the first day, but saturday was just FIRE straight through.

Epic. and playing China - Rider at the beginning and end of the set. When you heard china you knew there was going to be a rider... but it like never came.... till the very end.. bomb.

I knew it would end with Rider.

When The Dead did Tampa 07.31.03, they started with "Help > Slipknot", but there was no "Franklin's." You knew it had to be the closer! Also, Joan did a great "Caution" that show after Mickey's "Only the Strange Remain."

That was a fun show. Dylan sat in for like a rolling stone and friend of the devil. Great times!

I agree that although the set list Friday included some of my favorites, the show was a little lackluster. Yep, it was probably the heat. Saturday they definitely kicked it up a notch, GRATE show!

That's funny. I was saying the Friday show was all over the place and just not right and Saturday's show was kickass!!

And don't forget about The Mickey Hart Band. Amazing!!!

I agree with you about Friday's show. It had a few good moments. Ripple was broke out for the 1st time on this tour and in the 1st set. Then they broke into Brother Esau which was only played once this tour and three times in over two decades.

I came home Saturday to listen to Sirius and they trainwrecked so many songs on Saturday. There was more energy, but not precision. Listen closely to the 2nd half ot the set with all the viola sammiches.
