i've done vip every year for the following reasons

1) air conditioned, clean bathrooms with running water
2) i get a little anxious in crowds and vip gets me some space when i need it.
3) unlimited free cold water
4) shade
5) they had ice cream last year and you don't want to see what i'd do for a klondike bar.
6) discounted beer

I agree whole-heartedly with Shaw's list. There are other factors at work. At my AARP-bracket age, i don't mind being coddled a bit and can afford it. More importantly, it convinces my wife to come with me, and that's a very good thing.

Different strokes...

Thanks for all the information.

I am not doing VIP.. Hell, I can barely afford the price of a GA ticket :!: :!:

I was just wondering. My boyfriend and I did VIP at Bear Creek this past year and it was kind of worth it... BUT only because we drank like fish and after hitting up the VIP bar a few times I made some friends and the drinks came really cheap and some were even free.

But other than that it wasn't worth the extra money. Especially because we came home with two full bottles of liquor and a cooler full of beer.. :| :|

We're idiots sometimes. :D

1) the money isn't real. it's all electronic funding backed by paper.

2) from the sounds of things, i'll have plenty of room to stretch out this year.

vip at all good really worth it
vip at vibes kinda worth it
most big festies worth it and some small ones (werkout fest vip pretty damn sweet)

save time getting in and all that horse poo, if wanee offered a little more maybe, but really getting into the park and the size you don't have to deal with people unless you want to. Then again, those little perks make life so much better. Booze is a plus, but like someone said, you always bring booze back and have even more left over.

It's give or take, in a few more year once my back goes out I'm sure I'll pretty much be in vip every time.

Post Re: To VIP or not to VIP
I did VIP last year, my 1st ever, and it just got better every second from the time I got bumped to 1st class on the plane until the plane took off 3 hours late and my son met me at the airport as I missed the last shuttle home. VIP was perfect for me, I liked being able to walk thru and have the most polite servers smile and the food was pretty good. Plenty of room to sit down and eat, came in real handy during the rain , hot tip on the food they break off a part of the laminate each day , and lots of people skipped Friday nights meal, not sure why but in the bucket were lots of tags with Friday and Saturday together so it was never used, that meant leftovers and seconds if you ask at the right time, the PIE, save rom for the pie.But the trick to the rest rooms was wait till the line goes down and I was in and out hardly missed anything. Best part was the private entrance and being able to get pretty close without trying to wade thru the masses. I never made it over to the Treehouse, looked like a spot to check out this year. So for a little more, I say it's well worth it. I drag around enuff camping and cooking supplies the rest of the year, At Wanee I party like a rock star VIP!

The food has always been good, and they make sure to have enough vegetarian and vegan options available.

We're both 61. I've earned the right to pamper myself, or so I delude myself.
