Okay...let's figure this out....
Everclear........$25
Cinnamon stix...2 pkg.....$10
Qt jars.......12 pack.....$10
Apple juice..................$5
Apple cider..................$6
Sugars....................$2
other alcohol............$5
Total........$63 for 11 quarts....(oops, spilled one while pouring or there would have been 12 quarts). Roughly $6 a quart....pretty cheap. I did not make it too strong....it tastes so good......you don't know when to say when........and then it is too late....kinda like Wvirgin this morning....not feeling so well.

I had some greasy pizza.. feeling much better. ;) I'll be ready for more around 5!

For you apple pie freaks....(recipe)....easy/peasy

Mix together:
1 gallon apple juice
1 gallon apple cider
8 cinnamon sticks
2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
Bring to a slow boil....reduce heat to a simmer. Be sure to stir regularly as you don't want the sugars to get too hot and burn (if it does/throw away and start over). Simmer for approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Let cool completely before adding alsohol. If not cooled the ingredients will not blend right and will separate. Be sure to cool to room temperature (or close to it).
Once cool....add a liter of 190 proof Everclear (or moonshine, if you can get it). Not every state allows 190, so you might have to improvise with the amounts. If you use vodka (which some do) or the store bought moonshine, remember that it is only about 80 proof....which means you will have to add more. EC can be found in most liquor stores...just ask).
I add vanilla extract to mine......some recipes call for vanilla vodka to give it an ice cream flavor for the apple pie. This step is not required...just something a little extra for extra flavor. If you add vanilla vodka...you might want to reduce the EC amount according to how much you add. Amount of alcohol is determined by how strong you want it.
I also add a cinnamon stick to each "clean" quart jar and if you want to use right away...you can add some apple slices. Haven't tried putting slices in for an extended time...don't know what would happen(?)
Put in a cool dry place for week or longer....the longer it sits the better it becomes. Or refrigerate.
Enjoy you freaks....

Thanks! My next day off, I'm going shopping!

I have some peach slices soaking in some shine in my fridge. I am thinking about adding some peach schnapps, but will still need some kind of juice to water it down a bit. Not sure what else to add. I could use orange juice and it would be a kick ass fuzzy navel.

most legal shine is not over about 80 proof......illegal shine goes up to about 190 before they water it down. Everclear, you can buy 150 proof in most states ......and in some up to the maximum amount of 190, which is as strong as they make it.
If you use legal shine....taste and add more until you pass out....then you know you have enough in it.
Really you just need to add more to get to the 150 or so level. :o

Treehugger.....look up Dave's Peach Pie shine recipe....it might add some light on what to add. You can find on net with just Dave's Peach Pie Moonshine Recipe.

It's very difficult to get shine above 145-155
It has to be run through multiple times. And it's hot enough to remove nostril hair for months.

EC can power most of the older cars/ trucks. True.
Fuelin my dreams. Lol
