Rock the Park is a free concert that takes place during the spring and summer months on Thursday evenings at Curtis Hixon park in Tampa.

This is a good way to get out, meet new people, and listen to live local music.

BUT the best part about this event (other than the fact that its free) is that you can bring whatever you want:

Chairs, coolers (with alcohol), pets, kids, your frisbee.. Bring whatever your heart desires. I will be there laying in the grass with a flower in my hair. Stop by and say hi

Sounds like fun, we have Waterfont Wednesdays here with free live local talent. Our daughter goes to quite a few of them. But you must understand, it's in the summer and our summer is only a month or so long.....

I might be exaggerating a little, we have decent weather from June into September...

Hey ETR, where in Maine do y'all live? I'm coming up in June with the girlfriend and a whole bunch of her family for some biking event that a few of them do and then a family reunion. Not exactly sure of the dates and location but if it were close enough maybe we could meet. I'll for sure have all the info by Wanee and we could discuss it in more detail then but it was on my mind.

Looking out my back window at all the snow really makes me wish i lived in Florida year round.

Then you would miss snow.....I do. We don't get enough of it around here.
