 Re: Beer Week In Tampa
I will not be making this event. But I need to know some info on Cigar City. How widely distributed is it in FL. Obviously the Hunahpu’s don't make it very far or last very long but what about their other selctions? I would like to bring some home with me. We'll be heading down to Mousetown after the fest and may get over to Tampa. I had the Leon and Bolita this weekend at a tasting. I've had the Hunahpu’s before and I sure would like to be able to lay hands on one if anyone wanted to snag an extra and do a trade.

I think you can just about buy the Cigar City regular beers anywhere in Florida. I read an article on their website a few days ago saying that they now sell it in Pensacola and they have the state covered. Availability of the Hunahpu may be a problem. The event gets bigger and bigger every year and they put limits on how many bottles one person can buy. If there is a two bottle limit I can't help you as I would like one and I send one to my sister in Indiana every year. I try to round up people to go to this event with me every year to help me grab extras but it never works out that way. ** I will have some Cigar City at the Wanee M&G. If you want anything in particular let me know. I can grab something for you for a 1/1 trade or we can figure something else out. Check their website. http://www.cigarcitybrewing.com/

 Re: Beer Week In Tampa
Thanks. If there was a chance of a Hunahpu’s I could probably scare up a Foothills Sexual Chocolate http://www.foothillsbrewing.com/seasonal.html or an Olde Hickory Event Horizon http://www.oldehickorybrewery.com/. Otherwise, other local brews are... Big Boss http://bigbossbrewing.com/ Good friends. Triangle http://trianglebrewery.com/ The Belgian Golden in cans is pretty good. Lonerider http://www.loneriderbeer.com/ Sweet Josie Brown won gold at GABF a couple years ago. Mother Earth http://www.motherearthbrewing.com/ Good menu. Duck-Rabbit http://www.duckrabbitbrewery.com/ The darks are their specialty. Carolina Brewing http://www.carolinabrew.com/ The Spring Bock is a good drink. Bull City http://www.bullcityburgerandbrewery.com Growlers only. Fullsteam http://www.fullsteam.ag/beer/ Growlers only. More interesting than actually good. Highland http://www.highlandbrewing.com/ Gaelic and Kashmir are both good. Pisgah http://pisgahbrewing.com/ Pale is righteous. White Street http://www.whitestreetbrewing.com/ Didn't know it existed until right now. There are a bunch more in NC. Asheville is chock full of breweries and Charlotte has quite a few now. But they don't bottle or distribute this far. If anybody sees anything they would like just give me a shout.

 Re: Beer Week In Tampa
Hunahpu will not last long. You can only buy it that day and at the brewery. First 4,000 get to buy 3 bottles, next 1,000 get to buy 2. And then it's gone til next year.
However, the rest of them can be bought either at the brewery or in stores. The ones in store are Jai Alai, Maduro Brown, Florida Cracker, and Hotter Than Helles.
I am going to Hunahpu day and hopefully can score 3 bottles and if so I would be down to trade with you for one of your exclusives. I'll have to get back with you after the event though.
I will look over your breweries Jeff and will gladly get you some of our local stuff in exchange for some of yours. Just let me know which ones you want and I will work on tracking them down.
I'm in the middle of something now, but will post links to some of ours within driving distance to me.
