Re: Beer Week In Tampa Got there around 6am ish & the line was about to turn the corner into the Home Depot. Set up my chair and mingled with some dudes that came all the way from Canada to get beer. Cops showed up around 7:15 or so and Cigar City had to start letting people inside because the line was too long.
The lines were longer than hell for everything.
Once inside you had to wait in another line to get tokens so that you could buy beer. $5 per 8oz of all of the good beer or a 12oz of equally good beer but lower ABV%. LInes for the restroom were super long too.
One thing is for sure.. CCB will have to move this event next year. It was almost unbearable.
Anyway... I met up with jambandfan and his crew. We tried some good beer, I got 4 bottles of Hunahpu and left.
My advice to others. 6:15 was much to early. I walked back to my car around 9 and people that were coming in the gates were getting the same wristband I had (to buy 3 bottles).
