When we arrived, we discovered the show had been cancelled. (I don't know if someplace somebody might have said "postponed," but we heard "cancelled."

It is now 8:50, and we are home after driving there and back. NOWHERE on Ruth Eckerd's website is there any mention of cancellation. There was no e-mail (they have NO difficulty e-mailing when there are shows to promote), no robo-call, no nuthin'.

The nanosecond you KNEW there would be no show, you should have gone to every media outlet at your disposal to get the word out.

THEY SUCK.

I will think twice about going back. OK, that's a lie. I ALREADY have tickets for Yes in April. I will be calling THEM that day to make sure there is no cancellation.

From what I read this morning, the show was canceled because Chick got snowed in and couldn't get here in time for the show. They do plan to reschedule.

I agree that REH should've done something more to attempt to notify the public that the show was off. They'd have gotten most of the ticketholders by sending out an email blast to everyone on their mailing list. Should've done that, as well as putting something up on the webpage. Of course, with it being on a Sunday I imagine their computer geekrus were not working.

I'd thought hard about going to that show; didn't because it's my swamped time at work. I'd have been really pissed if I'd driven down there, only to have it canceled.

So they knew Chick could not get back to Clearwater. Wake up one of the geekrus and get his arse to the computer for an e-blast.
