Jeff don't let Cabin Fever get the best of you. Cabin fever doesn't stand a chance with us, we play outside pretty much year round. Now when the frost is coming out of the ground and mud is everywhere... That's a different story! Richard, keep us posted on the river and how you're doing...

 Re: More SNOW!
Thank all of you forr your concern..../ still fighting... got one more load of dirt to be delivered and moved around... Mother Nature has not got the best of me yet but she is still trying also. For all you Northern friends (notice I didn't say Damn Yankees)...good luck with the snow. Stay in and warm...(just don't watch the movie with Jack Nicholson snowed in at the hotel he was overseeing (Here's Johnny). Gotta go...my dirt is here. Love to all of you.

This week, they (NOAA) were predicting the river to rise to 24.3 feet....with this I would not be so lucky. Spent all day moving everything I could out of the lower floor. In the morning gonna have a couple loads of sand delivered to try and block water intrusion. A few minutes ago they predicted ONLY 23.2 feet.. which will be better....but not sure I'm still safe. Once before, we had 4-4.5 feet water in the downstairs. Not nice. I totally understand this post Nole, Thomas County is near completely flooded... the Ochlocknee river is spilling over US19.. and we have numerous road closures... a state of emergency was declared for the county last night..... all this while i was in sunny south florida at GratefulThems house for the weekend.... i should have just stayed there... now im paddling to work... and then paddling back cause cant get to where i need to be.... so now its a day off

We hear all these stories about the snow. Either we are not hearing about the flooding, or we're just not paying attention. We all send positive vibes your way and pray that the flood waters will only rise to their minimum, not their maximum.

Your last river reading was at 21.5 ft. Hope you don't live close to the river Adam You can go on NOAA.gov When the screen comes up...enter your zip code or address and it will go to a NOAA weather page....proceed to the bottom of the page and you will see a category for river and lake readings....click on it and a screen for your area will come up. Click on your river. This is good for everyone, whether it is for river readings, hurricanes or snow. Much better than most weather pages.
