 Name a band you loved in the day that doesn't get it now. I used to listen to Gentle Giant for hours on end thirty years ago. Now....five minutes and I'm ready to wrap it up. What's yours?

Re: Name a band you loved in the day that doesn't get it now The Monkees, unless 10 years old doesn't count  hmmmmmm - lets see I guess the band I loved, loved, loved back in the day that I tune out now when I hear them ...... all you southern rockers hold on to your hats....I am not trying to start a chair throwing event........Lynyrd Skynyrd - don't know if I even spelled them right.....I'm a southerner as well, maybe because they have been so mainstreamed and played all the time that I needed a break .......

Re: Name a band you loved in the day that doesn't get it now Queen, although i still listen to them... cant take too much anymore... my kid loves them, so i hear "we will rock you" 100 times a day at this point..... although her new favorite song is "Another brick in the wall II"... hope she doesnt wear that one out for me too! lol

Re: Name a band you loved in the day that doesn't get it now Honestly my musical taste have remained constant. My sirrus channel stays tuned to Classic Vinyl with the occasional move to Deep Tracks, Classic Rewind, or The Bridge. So if I loved them then, I love 'em still.

Wasn't into the whole wear as much black as I can and hate the world vibe that a lot of people who listened to them were. Then for a few years they just sucked. They cracked down on sharing/pirating music because they were mad nobody was buying the s#%tty albums they were putting out at that point. The last album they put out was very good though so I would say maybe they went through a dry spell, such as Aerosmith did for a little while, and have hopefully turned the corner.
Oh, and Incubus.

Oh, and Incubus. Hated Lars for what they did to napster, that being said I got all there for free never paid them a cent, plus it's record co. you gets paid from records band get paid from playing live
