BEN SPARACO

Ben Sparaco is an 18 year old guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Coral Springs, FL living in Nashville, TN with a sound that combines energetic and soulful guitar playing with a unique blend of soul, blues, jazz, and folk music.
Starting at the young age of 11, Ben began leading bands and regularly playing with a variety of rock and blues cover bands. At 13, Ben discovered that blues music was the sound in his head ever since he got his first guitar at four years old. Eventually he found the inspiration he had been looking for in the music of the Allman Brothers Band. Ben still cites Duane Allman as the reason he plays music and the reason he never gave it up through all the ups and downs of the music industry.

By the time he was 15, Ben began playing his original music to audiences around south Florida as his influences continued to broaden. Throughout his time in high school, Ben began to hone his skills on slide guitar while simultaneously delving into a study of folk music, jazz music, and world music, gaining new inspiration from the likes of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, Bob Dylan, Ali Akbar Khan, and Thelonious Monk.

In the winter of 2014, Ben met Crazy Fingers; the premier Grateful Dead tribute band in South Florida. By early 2015 Ben became a full time member of the band until his full time departure in August of 2015. On August 18th, 2015- the night before moving to Nashville, TN- Ben assembled his own band and welcomed many guests to the stage of the Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, FL for a show billed as “Ben Sparaco and Friends.” This band would quickly prove to be an in-demand musical force in Florida and beyond and is now called the Ben Sparaco Band.

Immersed in the jam band scene in South Florida, Ben has had the opportunity to share the stage with members of The Allman Brothers Band, Warren Haynes Band, Susan Tedeschi Band, Devon Allman, Matt Schofield, The Heavy Pets, Jerry Garcia Band, and more and share bills with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, Gregg Allman, The Disco Biscuits, Snarky Puppy, The Nth Power, and many more. Ben attends Belmont University to study Entertainment Industry Studies and performs with various acts including his main focus, the Ben Sparaco Band.
